A high school student in upstate New York was suspended for wearing an NRA T-shirt that touted the second amendment after he refused to turn it inside out or cover the words with duct tape.

NYPrepnet,

I don’t know how much of your readership lives in/around NYC but I’m looking for some suggestions for my daughter who’s moving to Manhattan in a few months.  What do folks carry for self-defense in the city…what’s legal or what do the police look the other way on.  Out here in flyover country she’d be carrying pepper spray for a few more years then I’d move her into a CCW pistol when she was old enough...but I have no idea what she can get away with in NYC.  She’s still young enough that she’s concerned with appearances so I’m looking for something that is ‘normal’ for young ladies there.

Don't click links you get in your email.
It is so common these days to get phishing scams that look like they are from the IRS or turbotax.
It is best to open your browser and go directly to the site you are looking for.
Also, before you do that make sure your antivirus and antimalware software is up to date.
It would be a shame to spend hours accidentally giving your information to an identity thief.
