In my experience paracord doesn't tie well to itself so I don't recommend using it for this purpose. I have one suggestion for both of these methods which I plan on testing soon. I would cut two sticks and put them between the outer ropes at the head and foot of the hammocks to keep them from squishing you with your own weight. What do you think?
