They are looking for a family consisting of 2 parents with at least 2 sons older than 14 (just like the original show), whom really want to escape the rat race of society to live off the grid in a remote, warm location for several weeks.
Qualifications are:
-Solid people who MUST be able to handle their own in the wilderness (can hunt, camp, fish, hike, make fires, knowledge of plants, etc)
-Huge strong, personalities that will be interesting to watch (especially the dad) -People who either have been wanting to "leave it all behind," or who already are in the process
-People who can leave their houses, jobs, lives, etc this summer, 2014 (the network will work around their schedule)
